Anything that is excessive is not good and everything in moderation could be beneficial.

That goes the same for coffee or tea. Too much of coffee or tea is not good but in moderation, it lowers the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.

It is not the caffeine that lowers the risk but some of the other active components like magnesium and antioxidants like lignans or chlorogenic acids that may be involved.

However, the basic rules of regular exercise, maintaining one’s weight and possible intake of soluble fiber that would still be essential.
