Go Red For Women!
As I was looking through the photos that I have taken with my mobile phone, I forgotten that I have taken a banner during the Go Red for Women roadshow in Toa Payoh HDB Hub on 27th March.
On the banner, it states that:
“Do You Know Heart Disease Is The World’s Number 1 Killer Among Women?”
Some time ago, I have already read an article about cardiovascular disease in women that more women than men die of cardiovascular disease and cardiovascular disease kills more women each year than all cancers, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS and malaria combined.
It is frightening but the sad fact is that a lot of women are unaware about it and they are actually more fearful of the breast cancer, cervical or ovarian cancer than cardiovascular disease. I am not saying that the cancers are not fearful, I am just saying that women should know more about each and every diseases affecting them so that they too can take the necessary precautions and preventions.
