What is a balanced diet?
Whenever a person visiting a doctor and asked the doctor:
“Doctor, what do I have to do to keep myself fit and healthy?”
“Exercise regularly; drink your 8 glasses of water and have a balanced diet.”
That is what most doctors would say, wouldn’t they? But what is a balanced diet?
I must admit that it is sometimes close to impossible for me to take a balanced diet as I always enjoy eating high cholesterol food like:
- Seafood
- Mutton Rendang
- Curry Chicken
- Foie Gras
- Chicken Rice
- Fried Noodles and etc.
However, I did make a commitment which I have written in my blog previously that I would start taking Bios Life before each guilty meal from then onwards and I have been following through since then.
Today, my wife was asking me what do I want to have for lunch as she is buying chicken rice for my in laws and I told her that I want to eat healthy today. So, what is my definition of eating healthy:
- 2 apples
- A cup of protein from Unicity
I may not feel full after just eating 2 apples and drinking a cup of protein and would probably top it up with some wholemeal biscuits and Coffee without sugar and cream during tea time.
I heard someone did say that it is better to eat multiple small meals than to have a few sumptuous meals. Well, this will be my form of balanced diet since a person may also feel tired of taking sumptuous meals every day.
What about you? Are you taking your form of balanced diet?
