Do Not Blame The Turkey
If it so happens that you put on some weight during this festive season, you can put all the blame on the stuffing, sauce, pastries and the trimmings.
Do not put the blame on the turkey.
Turkey, in actual fact, is an excellent healthy food even so when you are taking the breast meat.
And it is especially so when you take off the skin. Turkey breast meat without the skin is as close to a meat that is fat free as you are able to get. And it contains high amount of proteins and some important minerals and vitamins.
It includes a good source of vitamins and minerals like iron that is in a form which is easily absorbed; niacin that is good for raising the HDL or good cholesterol; selenium that has antioxidants properties; vitamin B6 and zinc that is important for the immune system.
So, with such high nutritional value from turkey, do not give this good nice meat a miss during your next festive season celebration.
