Did you know that blueberries could be useful as a belly fat buster?
There was a new study conducted that shows rats who ate a rich diet of blueberries loses abdominal fat that are linked to diabetes and heart disease.
Besides that, even if it was on a high fat diet, there are other health benefits like improved glucose control and lowered cholesterol.
The results could be due to the antioxidant rich blueberries that are changing the way the body stores and processes sugar or glucose for energy. This could in turn lower the risk of getting diabetes and heart diseases.
Anthocyanins, that are found in blueberries shows promising results in mitigating these health conditions.
Rats that were in the 90 days study, were fed a low fat diet in combination with blueberry powder has lesser abdominal fat, improved glucose control and lower cholesterol.
However, more research was needed to confirm these results in humans as mentioned by the scientists.
